Major Thesis Project

The Major Thesis Project is designed to provide the context within which each student can advance an individual thesis project exploring, in depth, a theme or technological development relating to architecture and digital media. Studies carried out as part of the Thesis Design Development module are continued and extended through this module. The aim of the module is to facilitate the production of a project submission that will be developed by each student individually and be part of a study programme devised by the student in consultation with the module tutors.

All projects must be formed on the basis of an articulated research programme and will be required to explore issues of significance to the theory or practice of architecture.

Indicative syllabus content:

The syllabus is based on a ‘learning contract’ model with each student pursuing an individual area of research agreed with the module tutor.
